Iowa Wave Video. August 2018 our club filmed a video that was shown at Kinnick during the first game of the season during the Wave to the Children’s hospital. We had a couple hundred area Hawkeyes show up at our two location shoots (Dallas skyline and Ft Worth Stock Yards). We also ran a gofundme page during the month of August, where we raised $7,000 that was donated to the children’s hospital! The final video is posted above, as well as a compilation put together by the University of other clubs doing the wave.
Grappling Childhood Cancer with Coach Dan Gable – Charity Dinner. Our club was proud to put on this special event on Thursday, April 20th, 2017 at Hackberry Creek Country Club in Irving. Dan Gable gave a keynote speech and there was an auction and raffle, with proceeds from the ticket sales and auction supporting TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation. We made an $8,000 donation to TeamConnor and a $500 donation to the Hawkeye Wreslting Club!
