In order to streamline the administrative functions of the club, The Organising Committee has been split into two bodies, the Executive Committee and the Advisory Board. Those on the Organising Committee who wish to take a more support/advisory function have been rolled onto the Advisory Board. The functions and requirements of the two bodies are detailed below.
Executive Committee
Responsibilities: Club leadership, planning events, managing admin
Requirement: Plan at least one club event per calendar year, participation in Exec Comm discussions/meetings
Advisory Board
Responsibilities: Provide support / advice / ideas for events and club operations
Requirement: Attend at least one club event per calendar year, participate in “request for advice” email threads.
We believe this will help us serve the London Iowa community. We do plan to publish official bylaws in due course which will further detail responsibilities and requirements for club leadership.
